Welcoming new contractors to the family

We’re thrilled to welcome Comdain Infrastructure to our family of contractors, and to continue our 15+ year relationship with Interflow.

After a rigorous procurement process we recently awarded the two organisations contracts for our Reliability program, which involves replacing and rehabilitating our 25,700 km network of pipelines.

At South East Water, we’re supported by a range of highly-skilled contractual partners who help us deliver our services. We invest in these partners, helping to support local industry.

While they may not wear the ‘South East Water’ badge, we consider them to be our own people and they’re very much part of how we meet the needs of our customers.

Interflow will undertake a significantly challenging renewal on the busy commercial Main Street in Mornington.

One of the first projects Comdain will be working on is our first major planned water main renewal, replacing one of the oldest water mains in our network on Bay Street, Port Melbourne, commencing in July 2019.

These projects formed part of the thorough procurement process undertaken to select the new partners, with Comdain and Interflow both demonstrating significant innovation and collaboration to provide the best solutions for our customers. Real projects, real solutions, real outcomes.

The two organisations will use their expertise and innovation in delivering renewals across our region, from suburban streets to challenging or high density areas to make sure that these projects have minimal customer impact.

By renewing water and sewer pipes today, we’re ensuring that our customers will have reliable water and sewerage services tomorrow.
