Works in your area starting September 2022

You might not notice a lot of the work we do because most of it is beneath your feet. Every day, we’re maintaining and upgrading the pipes and pumps that keep water flowing. With some works on Princes Highway and Abrehart Road, Pakenham East you might see us or our contractor Fulton Hogan, Delplant, Beca Joint Venture (FHDB) around.

Here’s what to expect while we get the job done.

What we're doing

This project is to construct new water pipes along Princes Hwy and Abrehart Road, so you can always rely on us when you need a drink, a bath or to wash the clothes or dishes.

You shouldn’t notice any change to your water or sewerage services while we work.

If we need to interrupt your water supply, don’t worry, we’ll notify you in advance to organise connection to a temporary supply.

We're working with FHDB to help us.

When it's happening

Works will commence in September and take approximatley 6 months to complete (weather permitting).

You can expect us to work Monday to Friday between 7 am and
6 pm. On the odd occasion, we may need to work at other times for safety or technical reasons.

What might impact you

We’ll do our best to keep impacts to a minimum, however these are the kinds of things you might notice while we work:

  • Movement of heavy vehicles in and out of work zones during working hours.
  • Periods of noise when heavy machinery is being used, including reversing beepers, continuous running engine/motor sounds and a temporary generator.
  • More trucks on Princes Highway, Abrehart Road and Ryan Road.
  • Traffic management will be in place to ensure safe vehicle movements around work zones.

Please take care when travelling around the work site.
