Troups Creek stormwater recycling
A pilot project to supply recycled stormwater in Avenview Estate.
South East Water is driving an innovative pilot project to supply recycled stormwater to residents in Narre Warren North’s Avenview Estate.
Recycled stormwater is a safe and high quality water source that will be connected to toilets and outdoor taps. The water quality will be continuously monitored and treated to a high standard, similar to existing recycled water systems.
We built an on-site treatment facility which is currently providing recycled stormwater to Avenview Estate residents. These are the first South East Water residential customers to benefit from recycled stormwater.
This project provides valuable insights into the viability of stormwater recycling on a larger scale and is being delivered in partnership with Melbourne Water and VicUrban.
