Delivering recycled water to Fishermans Bend

To deliver a reliable recycled water supply in Fishermans Bend, we’ll design and deliver a recycled water distribution network that includes recycled water mains and reticulation pipes.

We’ll design and construct the recycled water trunk mains to bring recycled water from the Fishermans Bend water recycling plant to the Fishermans Bend precinct.

We’ll also design and facilitate the rollout of reticulation pipes to bring recycled water from the Fishermans Bend water recycling plant via the recycled water mains (trunk) to apartments, buildings and green spaces throughout the Montague, Lorimer, Sandridge, Wirraway, and Employment precincts.

What we're doing

We’re currently in the planning phase of the project. During this phase we’ll investigate potential design options, including pipeline alignments.

We’ll also begin to engage with the community and key stakeholders on the project.

What’s happening next

Once the planning phase is complete, we’ll begin the detailed design phase.

The recycled water mains (trunk) will be delivered in two phases. The first phase will include the design and construction of the southern section. We'll begin this design stage in 2025. The second phase will involve the construction of the northern section, which will commence in 2030.

The reticulation pipes will be delivered progressively over time as property development occurs throughout the precincts. We anticipate that planning and delivery will commence in late-2024.
