South Melbourne Sewer Upgrades
Sewer works in South Melbourne
You might not notice a lot of the work we do because most of it is beneath your feet. Every day, we’re maintaining and upgrading the pipes and pumps that keep the sewerage network flowing- that’s why we’ll be installing a new sewer main in South Melbourne and Southbank as part of the South Melbourne Sewerage Upgrade.
Due to the size of the project, we've split it into three stages. Stage 1 of the project was completed in February 2024.

These works will involve re-lining the existing sewer under Kingsway, South Melbourne.
