Not-for-profit Wallara is making every drop count at its historic Sages Cottage Farm in Baxter through a new rainwater tank.

A 50,000-litre rainwater tank donation, facilitated by South East Water’s subsidiary business partner Priority Plumbing, is an important asset for the 38-acre working farm. Priority Plumbing suppliers, WaterLine Tanks and Aquamate, donated the tank which included the delivery, labour for assembly and installation on-site.

Water savings from the tank will benefit Wallara’s inclusive training programs for adults with different abilities, including animal welfare, aquaponics, ecology and horticulture.

Iota Customer and Project Delivery Manager, Warly Pilapil thanked the suppliers for their generous donation.

"Having a sustainable source of water for Wallara to distribute across their farm and gardens, will not only help reduce their water bills but also save precious drinking water supplies.
“Wallara does amazing work in the community. We’re glad to have such a positive impact, supporting our community and protecting our environment.”
