South East Water a finalist in 4 Victorian water award categories
South East Water has been recognised as a finalist across 4 categories in this year’s Australian Water Association’s Victorian awards, strengthening its position as a leader in the water industry.
The AWA state and national water awards program recognises outstanding achievements of individuals, organisations and students. The awards showcase and celebrate innovation, leadership, infrastructure and positive change to drive a sustainable water future.
South East Water is a finalist in the following categories:
Organisational Excellence: Sotto® – network leak detection – South East Water and Iota
Organisational Excellence: Collaboratively balancing the benefits and risks of closed catchments – Melbourne Metropolitan Water Industry (Melbourne Water, Greater Western Water, South East Water and Yarra Valley Water).
Research and Development Excellence: South East Water joint consortium with RMIT University, Melbourne Water, Environmental Protection Authority Victoria and Intelligent Water Networks
Young Water Professional of the Year: Hannah Ellingford – Customer Advocacy and Design Manager
Water Professional of the Year: Karen Lau – General Manager Strategy and Stakeholder
South East Water Managing Director Carla Purcell said she was proud to have the organisation recognised alongside respected people and projects from across the industry.

The winners of the Australian Water Association’s Victorian awards will be announced on Thursday 16 October at the Australian Water Association’s Victoria Gala Dinner and Awards at the Melbourne Town Hall.
