With upcoming works at our Rosedale Grove water storage basin you might see us (or our delivery partner Abergeldie, BMD, KBR Joint Venture (ABK)) around.

The project will significantly improve the infrastructure of the basin, ensuring it is equipped with a modern and durable cover that will enhance functionality and safety.

By incorporating a new cover dewatering system, the project will contribute to better environmental management and reduced risk of contamination. 

Here's what to expect while we get the job done.

What we're doing

This project is necessary for the continued operation of our water network.

Works include the precise delivery and installation of a new cover for our water storage basin Rosedale Grove, along with some other minor site works

You shouldn’t notice any change to your water or sewer services.

When it's happening

We have replaced the floating cover on the drinking basin.

We'll be completing additonal works to complete the project from 7 August until Mid September 2026

You can expect us to work Monday to Friday, between 7am and 5pm and Saturday between 9am and 1pm. On occasion we may need to work outside these hours for safety, technical or permit reasons. 

We'll keep nearby residents informed and this webpage updated as the project progresses.

What might impact you

We’ll do our best to keep disruptions to a minimum and leave the area as we found it. While we work, you may notice: 

  • Additional activity at the Rosedale Grove Basin site

  • Rosedale Grove will have traffic control at times during deliveries of the site compound facilities and the new floating cover to site

  • Periods of noise when heavy machinery is being used, including reversing beepers 

  • More trucks on local roads 

  • A temporary site set up and storage area within the Rosedale Grove Basin site

Construction staff will be available to guide drivers and pedestrians safely through the area. Please take care when travelling around the work site.

We’ll continue to work with you to minimise impacts, where possible, and keep you informed about upcoming works. 

Don't miss these details

We expect all works will be within our site location.

We'll access the site through the main driveway off Rosedale Grove, Frankston South. There will not be any impacts to traffic along Rosedale Grove.

We don't expect to impact your water supply, if you do experience any interruptions please contact our Faults and Emergencies team on 13 28 12.
