Works in your area starting May 2026

With upcoming works at our Eliza Drive, Mt Eliza water storage basin you might see us (or our delivery partner Abergeldie, BMD, KBR Joint Venture (ABK)) around.

The project will significantly improve the infrastructure of the basin, ensuring it is equipped with a modern and durable cover that will enhance functionality and safety.

By incorporating a new cover dewatering system, the project will contribute to better environmental management and reduced risk of contamination. 

Here's what to expect while we get the job done.

What we're doing

The Floating Cover project will replace the floating cover on the drinking water basin at Eliza Drive in Mt Eliza.

This project is necessary for the continued operation of our water network. The project will significantly improve the infrastructure of the basin, ensuring it is equipped with a modern, durable cover that will enhance functionality and safety. 

You shouldn’t notice any change to your water or sewer services.

When it's happening,

We’re planning to start work on 25 May and finish approximately late November 2026  (depending on the weather). 

You can expect us to work Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm, Saturdays between 7am to 1pm (if required). On the odd occasion, we might need to work at other times for safety or technical reasons.

You might not notice us working on site every day, but we'll keep our neighbours informed of our progress.  

What might impact you

We’ll do our best to keep disruptions to a minimum and leave the area as we found it. While we work, you may notice: 

  • Additional activity at the Eliza Drive Basin site

  • Eliza Drive will have traffic control at times during deliveries of the site compound facilities and the new floating cover to site

  • Periods of noise when heavy machinery is being used, including reversing beepers 

  • More trucks on local roads 

  • A temporary site set up and storage area within the Eliza Drive basin site

We’ll continue to work with you to minimise impacts, where possible, and keep you informed about upcoming works.

We expect all works will be within our site location.

We'll access the site through the main driveway off Eliza Drive, Mt Eliza. 

We don't expect to impact your water supply, if you do experience any interruptions please contact our Faults and Emergencies team on 13 28 12.
