Construction works in your area

You might not notice a lot of the work we do because most of it is beneath your feet. Every day, we’re maintaining and upgrading the pipes, pumps and infrastructure that maintain water quality and keep water flowing. 

With some upcoming works in The Basin you might see us or our industry partner, Abergeldie, BMD & KBR (ABK) around.

Here’s what to expect while we get the job done.

What we're doing

We're planning to upgrade the Chlorination Unit located within our pump station on Mountain Highway in The Basin.

The upgrade will help us to deliver essential chlorination to our water network, ensuring we continue to provide safe drinking water supplies.

When it's happening

Investigation works complete 
We recently completed investigative works to help us plan the upgrade. This involved locating underground services and drilling bore holes to investigate the subsurface environment. 

Construction expected March 2026
We expect to start construction on this project in March 2026. We’ll let you know before we start and will work with you to minimise impacts where possible.

What might impact you

During construction you may notice: 

  • Construction vehicle movement near out site on Mountain Highway in The Basin
  • Noise and dust from heavy machinery including beepers when trucks reverse
  • More traffic movements in and out of the site
