EASTBOUND ROAD CLOSURES on Old Dandenong Road
- Between Kingston and Boundary Roads until late August
- Between Boundary Road and the Mordialloc Freeway (M11) from 10 August until early October. Closure during working hours from 10-21 August, then at all times from 24 August until early October
WEEKEND WORKS Depending on our progress, we may work on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August.
This is to help complete works in the area as quick as we can. We do not plan to impact any driveways in the works area. We'll work within our existing road closure.
We'll also continue working Monday to Friday.
When it's happening
We're currently working on Old Dandenong Road:
Between Kingston Road and Boundary Road from 11 May until late August
Between Boundary Road and the Mordialloc Freeway (M11) from 10 August until early October. From 10 August to 21 August eastbound lane closure is from 6am to 6pm. From 24 August until early October eastbound lane closure will be at all times for safery reasons due to the size of our excavations.
The road will be closed 24/7 during the project. Our usual working hours are 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday. We may need to occasionally work outside these hours. We may work on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August between 7am and 5pm, depending on our progress.
Weekend works are to help complete works in the area as quick as we can. We do not plan to impact any driveways in the works area. We'll work within our existing road closure.
What might impact you
Eastbound closure of Old Dandenong Road between Kingston Road and Boundary Road, and Boundary Road and the Mordialloc Freeway (M11). Local access will be maintained. Traffic management will be on site.
Pipes will be stored and welded on Ross Street and Old Dandenong Road
No on street parking in the construction area
Increased noise when heavy machinery is being used, including reversing beepers on vehicles
Light towers along Old Dandenong Rd for community safety at night around our worksite
Our team may need to access your gas and water meters within your property to trace where pipes underground to ensure we remain clear of them when installing our pipeline

ABK will be using their Program Office on Tootal Road, Dingley Village for material drop off and pick up during works.
You will still have access to your property. There may be times where your driveway access is temporarily restricted. If this is the case, we will reach out to you directly before works.
You shouldn’t notice any change to your water or sewer services while we work.

The Dingley Recycled Water Scheme will deliver recycled water to around 40 sites in the Bayside, Kingston, Greater Dandenong and Monash Local Government Areas.
Supplying recycled water to local parks, world-class golf courses, sporting ovals, laundromats, market gardens and nurseries, the scheme will help preserve our drinking water supply, and help our communities become more resilient to climate change.

Investigative works will include:
- Service proving to identify and locate all underground services that may interact with the pipeline alignment
- Engineering feature survey
- Geotechnical and contamination investigations
- Ecology surveys and environmental site mapping
Abergeldie, BMD and KBR (ABK) will complete these works on behalf of South East Water.
We send digital communications to customers with a mobile number or email address registered to their mySouthEastWater account prior to works commencing. To register or check if your details are up to date visit my.southeastwater.com.au.
We then put a letter in your letter box before we commence works. If the works are deferred, we will send you another notification of the new proposed start date. Project signage will be installed at the work area prior to commencing the works.

No, we don't plan to impact driveway access. If for any reason during construction we need to block your driveway access, we will notify you in person and where possible, provide at least 24 hours' notice so that alternative parking arrangements can be made.
To safely undertake these works, traffic and pedestrian conditions may change so please take care when travelling around the construction sites.

When we’ve finished the job, we’ll leave things how we found them and return any areas we’ve impacted as close as possible to their original condition.
Only high usage customers who have agreed to connect to the scheme will need to pay. Discussions with scheme customers on pricing will take place prior to connection.
