Investigative works in your area from late October 2025

With upcoming investigative works at our Eliza Drive water storage basin you might see us (or our delivery partner Abergeldie, BMD, KBR Joint Venture (ABK)) around.

The project will significantly improve the infrastructure of the basin, ensuring it is equipped with a modern and durable cover that will enhance functionality and safety.

By incorporating a new cover dewatering system, the project will contribute to better environmental management and reduced risk of contamination. 

Here's what to expect while we get the job done.

What we're doing

This project is necessary for the continued operation of our water network.

We're planning to deliver and install a new cover for our Eliza Drive water storage basin. As part of this, we’re doing investigative works to help us design the project. 

You shouldn’t notice any change to your water or sewer services.

When it's happening

We’re planning to start investigative works from 28 October 2025. It should take around 3 days to complete (depending on the weather).

You can expect us to work Monday to Friday between 7 am and 6 pm. On the odd occasion, we might need to work at other times for safety, technical or permit reasons.

Once the investigative works are finished, we’ll complete the design for the water storage basin. We’ll be in touch again to confirm more dates and how this may affect you.

What might impact you

We’ll do our best to keep disruptions to a minimum and leave the area as we found it. While we work, you may notice: 

  • Additional activity at the Eliza Drive basin site

  • Periods of noise when heavy machinery is being used

  • More trucks on local roads 

We’ll continue to work with you to minimise impacts, where possible, and keep you informed about upcoming works. 

Please take care when travelling around the site.

Don't miss these details

We expect all works will be within our site location.

We'll access the site through the main driveway off Eliza Drive, Mount Eliza. There will not be any impacts to traffic along Eliza Drive.

We don't expect to impact your water supply, if you do experience any interruptions please contact our Faults and Emergencies team on 13 28 12.
