South East Water is proud to be named as one of Work180’s 101 top workplaces for women in 2025, for the third year running.

To mark International Women’s Day, the Herald Sun has published the list from Work180 – an organisation which assesses workplace policies, benefits and initiatives that drive gender equality.

Those listed in the top 101 best workplaces for women are recognised as being leaders across 10 workplace standards which help create a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.

Work180 scored organisations on 10 workplace standards including having inclusive hiring processes, flexible working arrangements, career development, inclusive and anti-discriminatory culture and strategic commitments for equality.

South East Water Managing Director Lara Olsen said South East Water is incredibly proud to be named on the list, among many other inspiring and highly respected organisations.

“Around 48% of our employees are women and we’re truly focused on supporting the careers, health and wellbeing at South East Water – through ensuring inclusion and equality, adequate recognition and reward and the representation of women at senior levels and empowerment through our programs and policies.

“We’re committed to making South East Water a safe and great place to work where differences are welcomed, and all ideas and viewpoints are valued.”

South East Water employees are offered benefits such as flexible work arrangements, domestic violence leave, purchased leave opportunities and cultural and ceremonial leave.

There are also benefits for supporting financial wellbeing, career development and connection with the community. South East Water also offers health and wellness benefits with annual health checks and sporting events.

New parents are offered support through 15 weeks parental leave, 10 paid keeping in touch days and transition coaching.

“We ensure our people have the skills and opportunities to work in ways that inspire them,” says Ms Olsen.
