WaterSmart Program
The WaterSmart Program is here to help our non-residential customers, including local councils, optimise their water usage through advanced digital monitoring and audits.

Who can benefit
We are partnering with the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) to assist businesses in understanding and improving their water use. Our initiative focuses on industries critical to the community, such as hospitals, councils, aged care facilities, and large industrial sites, offering them substantial opportunities for water conservation.
By joining the program, you’ll gain valuable insights into your water usage and have access to practical strategies to reduce waste.
What does the program offer?
Monitoring water usage
Using data loggers or digital water meters, you’ll have access to daily data, so you can easily monitor your water usage and detect leaks early. Iota’s Footprint® Platform lets you view your data, run custom reports, and set goals that fit your sustainability needs.
Water efficiency audits
We’ll conduct a detailed review of your site’s water usage to help you identify opportunities to save. From evaluating equipment to adjusting behaviours, we’ll offer suggestions to improve your water efficiency and reduce costs.
Why participate?
By joining the WaterSmart program, your organisation will:
Save water, save money
Reduce your water usage and lower operational costs with data-driven insights and suggested improvements.
Cut costly leaks
If your device detects water continuously flowing, there’s a chance it’s a leak. We’ll let you know as soon as this happens, so you can quickly fix the issue and avoid unexpected costs and business disruptions.
Improve sustainability
Show your customers, stakeholders, and the community that your business is committed to sustainability and managing water use responsibly.
