Early investigative works in your area

You might not notice a lot of the work we do because most of it is beneath your feet. Every day, we’re maintaining and upgrading the pipes and pumps that keep water flowing.

With some upcoming Investigation works in Alexander Blvd and Smiths Lane Clyde North you might see us or our contractor Abergeldie, BMD, KBR JV (ABK JV) around. Here’s what to expect while we get the job done.

What we're doing

We’re planning to upgrade the Cardinia Creek North recycled water main network to meet future demands.

We're working with our Industry Partner to finalise the design and alignment. To do this, we need to undertake investigation works around the alignment. Works will involve:

  • Service proving using non-destructive digging (NDD) to identify and locate all underground services that may interact with the pipeline alignment. NDD uses pressurised water to break up and vacuum soil to expose assets and services.

We don't anticipate these works will impact any businesses or residents however we will be in touch prior to doing any works should this change.

You shouldn’t notice any change to your water or sewer services while we work.

When it's happening

Early Investigative works will take place intermittently between Monday 5 January and Friday 30 January 2026, with construction works planned to start in April.

These works will take place Monday to Friday, between 7 am and 6 pm. On the odd occasion, we might need to work at other times for safety, technical or permit reasons.
