Sewer works in your area starting soon

You might not notice a lot of the work we do because most of it is beneath your feet. Every day, we’re maintaining and upgrading the pipes and pumps that keep water flowing. With some upcoming works in the Ballarto Road pump station you might see us around.

Here’s what to expect while we get the job done.

What we're doing

This project is to install around 15 kilometres of new pipeline which will transfer sewerage from the Ballarto Road Sewer Pump Station to the Pakenham Wastewater Recycling Plant.

The new rising main will help to manage sewerage flows and support growth within the local area.

You shouldn't notice any change to your water or sewerage services while we work.

When it's happening

We completed investigation works from July to September 2025. We're now awaiting to finalise our plans and approvals. We'll let you know when we'll be starting construction.

You can expect us to work Monday to Friday between 7 am and 6 pm and Saturday between 7am to 1pm as required. On the odd occasion, we may need to work at other times for safety, permit or technical reasons.

What might impact you

We’ll do our best to keep impacts to a minimum, however these are the kinds of things you might notice while we work:

  • Construction crews in the area between 7 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday, and 7am to 1pm on Saturdays as required (depending on the weather).
  • Increased truck movements.
  • Temporary site office and storage areas.
  • Traffic impacts around the work area.

Don't miss these details

We haven't finalised construction timelines yet. We'll keep this webpage updated and notify the area prior to construction starting.

There are no planned disruptions to your water or sewerage services during these works.

When we've finished the job, we'll leave things how we found them and return any areas we've impacted as close as possible to their original condition.
