Experiencing property damage
Over time, water and sewer pipes can deteriorate due to tree roots, shifting ground conditions, or general wear and tear. These issues may eventually lead to burst pipes or sewage overflows.
We assess for future maintenance requirements when we fix a pipe or clear a blockage, reducing the likelihood of recurrence. We also fix damage to footpaths, nature strips and roads.
Contact your insurance company immediately if you have experienced damage as a result of a water pipe burst or sewer spill. They might be able to help you arrange any required clean up, repairs or replacement of damaged property.
What should I tell my insurance company?
Ask your insurance company to provide you with assistance to resolve any damage, replacement or repair of damaged items. Your insurance company will also be responsible for producing a damage report.
What should I do if I don't have insurance?
If you do not have insurance cover, we may consider providing financial assistance. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
To submit a claim without insurance, please:
- Provide copies of any clean-up bills (e.g. paid invoices from your cleaner)
- Provide copies of bills and estimates for damaged items
- Retain any damaged items for which you are claiming
Before submitting your claim, please confirm that you do not have insurance cover. You can do this by completing our enquiry form.
