eBilling campaign (January 2025) – Terms and Conditions

The promoter is South East Water Corporation ABN 89 066 902 547 (South East Water) whose registered office is at 101 Wells St, Frankston, VIC, 3199.

1. Information on how to enter, mechanics of entry and the prize form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Entry is via the internet, via mySouthEastWater “my.SouthEastWater.com.au”, or by calling South East Water on 13 18 51. 

Eligibility

2. Entry is open to residential account holders in Victoria who:

a. over the age of 18 years;

b. are not registered for eBilling at the commencement of the Promotion Period;

c. switch to eBilling with South East Water at the time of entry into the promotion; and

d. have not switched back to paper billing at the time of winning entries being drawn.

3. Directors, managers and employees (and their immediate families) of South East Water are ineligible to enter this promotion. Immediate family means family residing with the South East Water employee.

Promotion Period

4. The promotion commences at 12.00AM (AEST) on Wednesday 1 January 2025 and ends at 11.59 PM (AEST) on Sunday 13 April 2025 (“Promotion Period”).

How to enter

5. To enter the promotion the Entrant must, during the Promotion Period access “my.SouthEastWater.com.au" or call 13 18 51 or utilise our live chat, and fully and correctly switch to eBilling, including providing the Entrant’s full name, residential address, South East Water account number and a valid email address.

6. Only one (1) entry per South East Water residential account is permitted. Any subsequent entry of an Entrant after the first valid Entry is received from that Entrant will be deemed invalid.

7. Entries will be deemed accepted at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission. Entries received will be considered final by the Promoter. Incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries. Contact details entered incorrectly by an Entrant on their entry form will render the entry invalid.

8. Costs associated with accessing the South East Water website remain an Entrant's responsibility and may vary depending on the Internet service or telecommunication provider used.

Winner Determination

9. All eligible Entries received throughout the Promotion Period in accordance with Conditions 5 to 8 (How to Enter) will be drawn randomly via (an online auto number generator using each entrant’s account number) on Wednesday 16 April 2025 at South East Water Head Office, WatersEdge, 101 Wells St, Frankston, VIC, 3199, to determine five (5) winners.

10. The 5 winners will be notified in writing by email within three (3) days of the draw and the name and location of each winner will be published on the South East Water website "https://southeastwater.com.au/residential/accounts-and-billing/your-bill/switch-to-ebills/prize-draw-terms-and-conditions-january-2025" and via Instagram @SouthEastWaterAustralia (Instagram account) and Facebook @South East Water – Melbourne Australia (Facebook account) and will remain on these platforms for no less than 28 days.

Prize

11. The five (5) winners will each receive a credit on their residential South East Water account in the amount of AUD$1,000.00 (one thousand dollars). This credit will not expire unless the winner’s South East Water account is closed. 

12. No part of the prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize. The prize, only in its entirety of $1000, is transferable to another residential customer, at South East Water’s discretion.  

General

13. If the promotion is not capable of running as planned for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including because of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster (including natural disaster), infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures, directions of regulators or industry self-regulatory bodies or any which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and/or if necessary to provide alternative prize(s) to the same value as the original prize(s), subject to any written directions made under applicable legislation.

14. The Promoter excludes all liability (including negligence) except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (including any applicable consumer guarantee under the Consumer Law), for any direct or indirect injury, loss and/or damage arising in any way out of the promotion. This includes, but is not limited to: (i) technical malfunctions, delays or failures, including those resulting from accessing any materials related to this promotion and any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with, this promotion as a result of any technical malfunctions, delays or failures; (ii) theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (iii) lost or damaged entries, prize claims or prize(s); and/or (iv) acceptance and/or use of any prize.

15. All of the Promoter’s decisions in respect of the promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
