Our service area borders more than 270 kilometres of coastline and covers a land area of 3,640 square kilometres from Port Melbourne to Portsea and approximately 30 kilometres east of Pakenham.
Our customers live in one of Australia’s most culturally diverse regions, and speak more than 200 languages.
We’re a state owned corporation responsible to the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA). We’re regulated by the Department of Health for drinking water quality, the Environment Protection Authority for recycled water quality, and the Essential Services Commission is the water industry’s economic regulator.
We collect waterways and drainage charges on behalf of Melbourne Water, and the annual parks charge on behalf of DEECA. Our 2028 corporate strategy sets our strategic direction, and we report on our performance every year in our annual report and our annual drinking water.
