South East Water emerging leader recognised in Top 50 Public Sector Women
South East Water’s Group Manager Asset and Program Delivery, Priscilla Chung has been recognised as an Emerging Leader at the annual Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) Top 50 Public Sector Women Awards.
The IPAA Emerging Leader Award recognises women in all levels of government for their leadership, dedication and accomplishment in the public sector.
Priscilla was recognised for leading several initiatives at South East Water to ensure the reliability of water and sewer assets that support customers, the community and that protect the environment.
Priscilla’s accomplishments include leading an Integrated Planning and Delivery (IPD) model to improve efficiencies in delivering major projects, the proactive transformation of South East Water’s maintenance and renewals program to ensure service reliability, the minimisation of customer disruption and prevention of sewer spills that impact the environment.
South East Water Managing Director, Lara Olsen congratulated Priscilla on the prestigious honour.
"We’re incredibly proud of how Priscilla’s leadership and innovation has improved our ability to deliver healthy water for life for our customers, community and environment”, said Ms Olsen.
“Priscilla is an insightful and experienced people leader that has empowered her team through an equitable and inclusive work environment.
She’s also an accomplished engineer who continues to be a strong advocate for girls and women to explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) roles, including mentoring mid-career and young female engineers.”
