South East Water is pleased to welcome James Chisholm to its executive leadership team as the organisation’s new General Manager, Finance and Technology from Monday 25 May. 

James is a seasoned executive with extensive expertise across large-scale regulated infrastructure and energy businesses. He brings extensive experience in commercial finance, financial operations, treasury, tax, and major system transformation programs.

Before joining South East Water, James was Chief Financial Officer at Aurora Energy, where he led significant commercial and financial reforms. He has also held senior roles at John Holland and EnergyAustralia, contributing to major infrastructure, operations and transformation programs across the energy and utilities sectors.

South East Water Managing Director Carla Purcell is delighted to welcome James to the organisation.

“James’ extensive experience in commercial finance, financial operations, treasury and tax, along with his leadership of major finance and technology transformations, will help take us forward in delivering our strategy for our customers, communities, people and the environment.

“We’re impressed with his strong track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering meaningful outcomes in complex, customer-focused organisations,” Ms Purcell said.

James’ role at South East Water will oversee finance and commercial functions, technology strategy and operations, cyber security and procurement. His leadership will support the organisation’s ongoing commitment to digital capability, and strong financial stewardship.
