South East Water customers are invited to have their say on the future of water, sewerage and recycled water services in Melbourne’s south east and the Mornington Peninsula.

The organisation has just launched its biggest-ever community engagement campaign with an online survey for residential and business customers.

Survey responses will help shape South East Water’s Price Submission 2028, which will outline the services to be provided, the infrastructure to be built and upgraded, and the prices to be charged between 1 July 2028 and 30 June 2033.

South East Water General Manager Strategy and Stakeholder, Karen Lau  said the organisation is making sure customer and community needs are built into future plans and prices.

“We’re asking our customers what they value most about their water services and their views on future priorities,” Ms Lau said.

“Their answers will help shape how we balance the needs of our growing region and respond to key challenges and opportunities – from building and maintaining reliable water and sewerage infrastructure; to adapting to climate change, harnessing technological innovation and supporting those experiencing financial hardship.”

In the coming months, South East Water will host a series of in-person and online engagement activities to reach customers and communities from Port Melbourne to Portsea and east to Pakenham, including surveys, pop-up events, interactive online tools and community panels.
