Floating cover upgrade complete at Frankston South water storage
South East Water is boosting water quality with a new upgraded floating cover at its major Frankston South water storage.
The project at the Rosedale Grove basin in Frankston South installed a new floating cover and dewatering system to improve site safety, water quality and reliability. Water storage covers reduce sunlight exposure, prevent algal growth and limit evaporation.
South East Water Managing Director Carla Purcell said the upgrade is part of an ongoing commitment to maintain critical infrastructure for the community.
“We know getting the basics right is important to our customers.
“Maintaining critical storage infrastructure is essential, and these upgrades help us keep delivering safe, high-quality drinking water every day,” said Ms Purcell.
