Fixing the flows across the Peninsula
South East Water has been busy upgrading its water and sewer network throughout the Mornington Peninsula to deliver safe and reliable services for customers and communities now and into the future.
Rosebud is already benefiting from several projects completed in January, including the upgrade of sewer rising main pipelines from Colchester Road and Henry Wilson Drive into Boneo Road, with South East Water delivery partner ZJW (Zinfra, Jaydo, WSP).
Also complete in Sixth Avenue, Rosebud is a new 15-metre-tall ventilation stack that’s safely diffusing and venting the underground sewer whilst further diluting any odours.
Rosebud customers may also notice water pipe renewal works underway in Ocean and Barry streets, which started this month, delivered by crews from Beca Fulton Hogan and Interflow (BFHI).
In Blairgowrie, work is now complete along Melbourne Road to upgrade and improve the reliability of the water network in the area, through delivery partner Abergeldie BMD KBR (ABK Joint Venture).
From Portsea to Sorrento, South East Water and delivery partner Service Stream are continuing to upgrade 4.4 km of water main to ensure a safe and reliable water supply for Portsea and Sorrento communities. Works on this project are currently underway on Point Nepean Road working in stages from Campbells Road towards Kildrummie Court. The project is expected to be complete by November 2024.
South East Water Acting General Manager Liveable Water Solutions, Matthew Snell said minimising disruption for customers and visitors was a priority.
