Our Aboriginal Visual Identity
A story of water, country, and connection – told through art.
South East Water’s Aboriginal visual identity is more than a design- it’s a story. A story of our journey toward cultural understanding, our respect for Traditional Owners, and our commitment to walking together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across our service region.
Story behind the artwork
Our Aboriginal visual identity takes a fresh and bold approach, symbolising the life-giving cycle of water.
The inclusion of green represents growth, renewal, and the vital role water plays in sustaining the environment and communities
Heart of the design
At the heart of the design is a flowing trident formation, an abstract representation of our service region. It symbolises the natural water cycle and our role in Caring for Country.
This central form reflects the movement of water, flowing in, flowing out- and our responsibility to protect and sustain it.
Relationship with Tradtional Owners
The three circular meeting place symbols represent our relationships with Traditional Owners. These are not static symbols – they are surrounded by pathways, showing the ongoing journey of respect, understanding, and continuous learning.
Each connection is a reminder that reconciliation is not a destination, but a shared path forward.
