Congratulations to all who entered

Young water heroes have been celebrated with South East Water announcing the winners of the 2025 National Water Week poster competition.

More than 6,000 local primary, kindergarten, and early learning students from across Melbourne’s south-east and the Mornington Peninsula took part in this year’s competition in South East Water’s service area.

A total of 1,166 creative posters were entered reflecting this year’s National Water Week theme, ‘Water Heroes: Save Every Drop’, which highlights the important role we can all play in using water wisely.

The competition is an opportunity for students to integrate their learning in science and art, giving them an opportunity to express their learning creatively.

Entries came from 51 local schools and 6 pre-schools, with first prize winners from each category entered into the state level competition.

We’re proud to say that three of our artists received places in the state competition, and two of them went onto win their age category in the national competition. Amazing effort!

See some of the winning entries on the 2026 National Water Week Calendar. Download the calendar here.

Congratulations to the local competition placegetters
