I’m a tenant moving into a new property
Let’s get you settled.
New to our service area? Welcome.
If you’re an existing customer moving to a new place in our service area, we’re happy to still have you with us.
What do I need to do?
The good news is as a tenant moving into a property, you don’t need to do anything. Your landlord or property manager will let us know and give us your details - we'll set up an account for you.
New customers
We’ll set up a new account for you and send you your first bill within three months of moving in. Most customers will receive their bill by email, so it's best to make sure we're on your approved senders list so your bill doesn't end up in your junk mail.
We bill quarterly, but if you'd prefer to pay monthly or fortnightly, that's fine too. You can set up a payment plan on MySouthEastWater.
Existing customers
Make sure you tell us you’re moving out of your previous property at least two business days beforehand. We’ll transfer your account to your new property.
I have an eligible concession card
Be sure to apply for a concession when you move in so you can receive your discount. Your landlord or real estate agent can’t do this for you.
Find out more about eligible concession cards at our concession page.
What will I need to pay for?
As a tenant you’re responsible for paying water usage charges and sewage disposal charges only.
Property owners pay for everything else.
When will I get my bill?
If you're a new South East Water customer, we’ll send your first bill within three months of moving in.
