Sewer pipeline final connection - night works

You might not notice a lot of the work we do because most of it is beneath your feet. Every day, we’re maintaining and upgrading the pipes and pumps that keep water flowing.

Night works Grices Reserve - delayed start due to wet weather
Night works for 4 nights now planned between Thursday 23 October and Saturday 1 November
Working hours 8 pm until 7.30 am

What we're doing

The Ti Tree Creek Branch Sewer Duplication project has installed a new sewer pipeline in Berwick to increase the reliability of the network and reduce the risk of spills. We're working with Fulton Hogan Delplant Beca Joint Venture (FHDB) to help us.

We’re now returning to site to complete the final connection of the new sewer pipeline into the sewerage network.

Works are being conducted in Grices Road Reserve (off Casandra Court) and Grices Road SPS (Sewage Pump Station) in Berwick Waters Park – see map below.

Works are now complete in Berwick Springs Wetland Reserve (opposite The Esplanade in Narre Warren South).

What might impact you

We’ll do our best to keep impacts to a minimum, however you may notice:

  • periods of high noise from excavating, jack hammering and saw cutting
  • noise from the operation of generators and pumps
  • lighting towers to illuminate work areas
  • temporary increase in odour when maintenance lids are open
  • crew and vehicle movements around work areas including truck reversing beepers
  • equipment and machinery temporarily stored within work areas.
