Works in your area starting in October 2023

You might not notice a lot of the work we do because most of it is beneath your feet. Every day, we’re maintaining and upgrading the pipes and pumps that keep water flowing. With some works in Nest Circuit, Cranbourne East you might see us or our delivery partner Zinfra, Jaydo, WSP Joint Venture (ZJW) around.

Here’s what to expect while we get the job done.

What we're doing

This project is to construct underground pipes to allow existing estates to be supplied with recycled water in the future.

You shouldn’t notice any change to your water or sewerage services while we work.

We're working with ZJW to help us.

When it's happening

We're planning to start works in mid November for around 10 weeks (depending on the weather). We'll stop work in late December for around 2 weeks over the summer holiday period and will remove some equipment and make the area safe before returning in early January 2024.  Due to unexpected delays, we now expect to commence works in early December 2023.

You can expect us to work Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm and Saturday between 8.30am and 3.30pm. On the odd occasion, we may need to work at other times for safety, technical or permit reasons.

What might impact you

We’ll do our best to keep impacts to a minimum, however these are the kinds of things you might notice while we work:

  • Movement of heavy vehicles in and out of work zones during working hours.
  • Periods of noise when heavy machinery is being used, including reversing beepers, continuous running engine/motor sounds and a temporary generator.
  • More trucks on local roads and in reserve areas.
  • Traffic management will be in place to ensure safe vehicle movements around work zones.
  • At times, sections of the pathways will be closed, and pedestrian and cyclist detours will be in place, managed by traffic management personnel.

Please take care when travelling around the work site.
