Training for plumbers

South East Water, in partnership with Chisholm Institute, have created a comprehensive suite of training modules for the plumbing industry, aimed at providing greater understanding and skills around plumbing work at the interface with water corporation assets. This training initiative also recognises the need to build closer relationships with the plumbing and building industry, addressing a long standing training gap, as the first of its type.

We're working with industry to deliver a comprehensive program for plumbers, helping you and your employees stay up-to-date with new technology and raising the standard of plumbing practice in Victoria. Each of these modules are aligned with the Certificate 4 program - Water Operation.

Program modules being delivered now, in partnership with the Chisholm Institute in Frankston include:

  • Fire Service Backflow Prevention Device Testing and Maintenance (31 May)
  • Water Supply Domestic and Commercial Metering and Servicing (29 June)
  • Class A Recycled Water Plumbing Requirements (15 June)
  • Property Sewerage Plans (PSPs) Drawing and Interpretation (8 June)
  • Trade Waste (TBA)
  • Fire Service Connection and Metering Training Module (22 June)
